The cultural-historical, international Dada movement, which started in Zurich in 1916, was largely comprised of artists and intellectuals, confronting the dishonest ideals and values which had made the War possible. What characterises intellectuals? What role do intellectuals have in public political discourse? What about their seductive power? Is Switzerland hostile to intellectuals?
